District Commissioners: Family matters
I do not have electronic identification, how do I apply if I wish to establish a marriage abroad?
Contact the District Commissioner the Westman Islands, giftingerlendis@syslumenn.is and request to be sent a form on paper.
This form must be accompanied by the following documents:
Birth certificate.
Certificate of marital status.
A copy of the identification document, confirmed by the district commissioner.
