The amount of the basic child maintenance payment is 46.147 kr. (January 1, 2024)

Basic child maintenance is often referred to as minimum child maintenance. Basic child maintenance is equal to child support and its amount is reviewed annually. It is not possible to negotiate or determine a lower monthly child maintenance amount than basic child maintenance.

An increased child maintenance is a higher child maintenance payment than basic child maintenance.
