Directorate of Immigration: Residence permits - Types
What are the special conditions for au-pair applicants coming directly from the Philippines?
The Philippine government makes a special demand of Filipino citizens intending to emigrate as au-pairs, must apply for an exit permit from the Filipino government.
Please note that these are not rules or obligations set by the Directorate of Immigration, but conditions issued by the Philippine authorities, and the Directorate of Immigration does not therefore have further information or mediation on this process.
It is known that the original of the au-pair placement contract must be authenticated and therefore the original of the contract is ready for pick up at the office at Dalvegur 18 after the permit has been granted.
The host family must take the au-pair contract and have it authenticated by the District Commissioner, it the host parents are married, they must both go and take their passport with them along with a photocopy of the passport of the prospective au pair.
The contract must then be taken to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs – Rauðarárstígur 25 (office open from 08:30-16:00) for further authentication.
Finally, the contract must be sent to the Embassy of the Philippines in Oslo for the last authentication.
