A holder of a student residence permit who completes a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree at an Icelandic university may be issued a special residence permit for employment seeking after graduation.

A residence permit for employment-seeking after graduation is applied for by filling out an application to renew a student residence permit. A necessary supporting document with such an application is a certified copy of the University graduation certificate.
