My spouse is abroad and we are expecting a child that we would like to be born in Iceland, can I apply for an expedited processing of residence permit application?
Generally, it is not possible to apply for expedited processing unless a residence permit is applied for on the basis of employment.
You can submit documents with the application that confirm pregnancy and other documents that describe your circumstances and ask that they be taken into consideration.
