I am a citizen of the Nordic countries, when can I apply for citizenship?
If you have been a citizen of the Nordic countries since birth, you can request Icelandic citizenship after 3 years of residence in Iceland.
If you acquired citizenship in the Nordic countries later in life, you can apply for Icelandic citizenship after 4 years of residence in Iceland.
