Directorate of Immigration: Citizenship
Is it enough to submit a copy of a criminal record with an application for Icelandic citizenship?
A criminal record certificate must always be delivered to the Directorate of Immigration in the original. It must be legally authenticated either through apostille certification or chain authentication.
The certificate can be delivered to Dalvegur 18 in the drop box in the lobby, handed over to an employee in the reception or sent by regular mail.
