Housing benefits are generally paid on the first day of each month.
If the first day of the month is a public holiday or on a weekend, the payment is made on the last business day of the previous month.
Housing benefits are retroactive and each payment is therefore for the rent period of the previous month.
To get housing benefits the application needs to be processed and accepted.
