How can income information be changed in an application for housing benefits?
If an applicant believes that the household's income has changed significantly from the time of the last income estimate, he can request a revision.
The request must include arguments and supporting documents f.ex. estimated taxable income of all household members aged 18 and over, in the coming months.
Requests and data can be submitted via Inquiries and communications on HMS My pages or by email to hms@hms.is.
Subsequently the income estimate will be revised, taking into account the housing benefits the applicant has already received during the year.
If the applicant or a household member, has received a lump-sum payment in the period from the last income estimate, he is advised to inform us of this through HMS My pages or by email to hms@hms.is and request a revision.
