Radiology

The Radiology department performs general X-ray and CT examinations.
All imaging results are electronically sent for interpretation by specialist radiologists at Röntgen Domus.

Interpretation of the images is usually completed on the same day, and HSS physicians have electronic access to the results as soon as they are available.

The department operates two imaging devices: X-ray machine and CT scanner

Each examination typically takes approximately 10–20 minutes

It is important that women of childbearing age inform the radiographer if they are pregnant or suspect they might be. In such cases, special precautions are taken to protect the fetus, and alternative imaging methods may be considered if possible.

For CT scans, it is often necessary to administer iodine-based contrast material intravenously.
It is important to inform staff of any allergies or sensitivities, and appropriate measures will be taken.
It is recommended to drink plenty of water during the first few hours after receiving contrast material.

Appointments for imaging can be booked by calling the department at 422 0506.
