The HSS strategy
The role of the Suðurnes Hospital & Health Center (HSS) is to provide the inhabitants of Suðurnes primary and secondary healthcare in accordance to law for healthcare services and The general healthcare strategy till 2030.
The role of healthcare institutions is further discussed in the regulation 1111/2020.
On the 70th anniversary of HSS, on 18 November 2024, it's strategy was presented - HSS strategy till 2030
The strategy is the result of work that HSS started in spring 2024, where a great emphasis was placed on getting feedback from residents of Reykjanes peninsula and HSS staff.
