The weight of the cargo shall not exceed what is permitted for the vehicle according to its registration certificate. In the certificate you will find values for allowed load capacity of the vehicle, including both persons and cargo. Cargo must be loaded properly so that the weight is distributed correctly so the trailer does not push down too much on the hitch.
