If the owner registration is incorrect, the automobile dealership has one week from registering to correct it. A standard form to correct the owner of a new registration is not available but it is put on paper what the correction should be and those involved have to sign to approve. The correction costs ISK 1.001 (price tag). If more than a week has passed, a change of ownership must be made to correct the ownership registration.
