The Icelandic Transportation Authority participates in green steps for government agencies aimed at reducing the negative environmental impacts of its operations and strengthening the environmental awareness of employees.

• We encourage our customers to choose an environmentally friendly transportation mode when entering the airport in Ármúli 2.

• The Icelandic Transportation Agency also encourages electronic communications instead of visits and teleconferences are available.

• If you have business in the Armory, consider eco-friendly transport.

• Accessibility for persons with reduced mobility: The parking area closest to the main entrance is the parking area for persons with reduced mobility.

• Wheel racks are in front of the main entrance. Tools and a wheel pump can be borrowed from a shop if necessary.

• Bus stops on Háaleitibraut, a short distance from the Transportation Office building. There buses 4 and 11 stop.

• There is also a stopover at Strætó at the Nordica hotel on the Suðurlandsbraut, from there it is a 6-minute walk to Ármúli 2, where routes 2, 5, 15 and 17 stop.

• There are free parking spaces in front of the main entrance.
