The service must be signed by both the seller and the buyer, as well as the co-owner if applicable.
The notification must be certified by parties who have reached the age of 18.
The original service must be returned to Samgöngustofa or vehicle inspection center within 7 days.
If Samgöngstofa has comments regarding the notification of a change of ownership, or if the notification is not filled in correctly, the change of ownership cannot be registered. Samgungstofa then contacts you by e-mail or letter.
The purchase agreement and waiver are only between the buyer and the seller as a confirmation of the transaction between them. Those documents do not need to be sent to Samgongustofa or another authority
