How do I remove a private license plate lock from a car/vehicle?
A private license plate lock is installed on a vehicle that has registered a private license plate where the entitlement has expired. In order to lift the lock, either the license plates must be returned to the Icelandic Transport Authority or the rights must be renewed and the fee paid.
