Social Insurance Administration: Other services TR

What do I have to do after the death of a relative?

If the deceased was a pensioner with the TR, TR will settle the estate after the confirmed tax return is available. You can request a preliminary settlement to see if the estate will owe or have a credit at the time of settlement. If the deceased had a spouse who is a pensioner, the person concerned must update their income plan in relation to the changed circumstances and apply for possible rights such as home allowance, child pension and death benefits. If the spouse was not a pensioner, they may be entitled to death benefits.
