The employee or employer applies for an A1 certificate in the relevant country of insurance. A copy of the certificate must be sent to the Social Insurance Administration.

The same applies to self-employed individuals and those who work through temporary employment agencies.
The social security contribution must be paid in accordance with the country of issue of the A1 certificate.
