Directorate of Immigration: International protection
Do I need to have an advocate if I apply for international protection?
You are not obliged to have an advocate and you have the right to refuse all legal aid. Under such circumstances, you still need to attend scheduled interviews and submit documents in support of your case within the given time frame.
To decline legal assistance, you must notify the Directorate of Immigration in writing.
