Directorate of Immigration: International protection
Do I need to pay for a spokesperson as an applicant for protection?
As an applicant for protection, you are offered legal assistance free of charge from the spokesperson appointed to you upon booking an interview with the Directorate of Immigration. However, if you wish to select a different spokesperson from the one appointed to you, you shall bear the cost of such service.
Note that the spokespersons appointed by the Directorate of Immigration are completely independent of the Directorate, but have specifically applied for, and have been approved to, the provision of such services.
