Influenza vaccinations and COVID-19

Annual influenza vaccination at HVE

Annual vaccination against influenza is advertised on each of the clinics at HVE, for example on social media. Vaccination has usually started at the end of September or beginning of October.

The Chief Epidemiologist recommends that the following risk groups be given priority in the flu vaccination:

  • All persons 60 years of age or older.

  • All children and adults with chronic heart, lung, kidney and liver disease, diabetes, malignancies and spectral immunosuppressive disorders.

  • Healthcare professionals who care for individuals in the risk groups listed above.

  • Pregnant women.

Note that the above risk groups are entitled to the vaccine free of charge, but an entry fee must be paid according to Regulation No. 225/2018.

Healthcare does not offer services to companies.

Individuals can be vaccinated even if an influenza epidemic has started, as it only takes 1 to 2 weeks for the antibodies to be developed after vaccination.

See detailed information from The Directorate of Health.

Covid-19 vaccination

Vaccinations against Covid-19 are available at HVE's health centers. Appointments at the relevant clinic.
