HVE is an ambulance transport operator in the area of operation.

The HEMS operating areas consist of eight facilities. Akranes, Borgarnes, Búðardalur, Grundarfjörður, Hólmavík, Hvammstangi, Ólafsvík and Stykkishólmur.

These facilities comprise 16 ambulances and over 70 ambulance personnel, with training in ambulance and additional training in emergency transport.
