If you apply for disability pension on September 1, 2025 or later, you will undergo an integrated expert assessment, which is a new standardized evaluation of an individual's ability to function in the labor market, where skills, disability, and health are assessed comprehensively in a broad sense. Applications for disability pension are submitted through Island.is.
