Can I move to a country outside the EEA and continue to accrue pension rights?
Iceland has social insurance agreements with the following countries outside the EEA:
Austria
The United States
Canada
Luxembourg
Switzerland
The United Kingdom
The agreements vary. Most only cover whether you retain the right to accrue pension rights in Iceland while working abroad.
