Social Insurance Administration: Professionals - on changes to disability and rehabilitation payments (1)

What does the interaction between TR and pension funds entail?

An individual can receive a disability pension from both TR and a pension fund at the same time.

A so-called interaction occurs when an increase in payments from TR leads to a decrease in payments from the pension fund. When the pension fund payments decrease and this is reflected in the individual's income plan at TR, TR increases its payments even further.

The same can happen if a pension fund increases disability pension payments to the individual; payments from TR will then decrease, and that decrease will lead to a further increase from the pension fund.
