Work is under way to digitalise the framework for the driving licences for category B from beginning to end. The project is a collaboration between the Icelandic Transportation, the Ministry of Infrastructure, the District commissioner, the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police and Digital Iceland.

This section on the left contains instructions for the main digital processes related to the driving training. The registration form for the practical lessons is directly linked to the digital drivers´ education journal and automatically updated with each registration.

Driving schools have access to register the completed milestones for the driving student, driving school 1, 2 and 3. Driver's school registration automatically updates the student's status in the digital drivers´ education journal.

Also, below are instructions on validating a driving assessment that precedes the issue of a permanent licence.
