Blood tests at Landspítali are carried out at three locations, and you can choose which one to attend.
Patients are seen in the order they arrive, and no appointment is required.

Testing is requested through the Landspítalaappið and you need electronic ID or an authentication app to log in.
You fill out a questionnaire in the app. Within 1–5 business days, you will receive an SMS with a barcode when your sample kit is ready for pick-up at the Dermatology and STI Outpatient Clinic.
The barcode is valid for 24 hours and only during clinic opening hours. If received on a Friday or before a public holiday, the barcode is only valid that day.

Directions to the entrance
Drive onto Áland street, heading toward Landspítali Fossvogur and past the Emergency Department.
Turn down the parking lot between the Emergency Department and the helipad, and drive to the end of the lot.
Turn right at the end of the lot.
The entrance is the first door on the south side of the building, not the door facing the parking lot.
At the Lung Research Department of Landspítali, the following tests are conducted:

If you are coming in for an overnight sleep study:
You will arrive at the Sleep Center at Landspítali, where the monitoring equipment will be set up and you will stay overnight. The study takes place on ward C7, 7th floor, in Fossvogur.
If you are doing a sleep study at home: You will pick up the monitoring equipment from the security desk on the 1st floor in Fossvogur and take it home to use overnight.
