At the annual general meeting of the Sponsoring Association for HSN in Þingeyjarsýslur, new gastro-oscopy equipment was formally handed over to HSN in Húsavík.

A decision has been made to relocate the largest part of HSN's operations in Akureyri to Sunnuhlíð at the beginning of 2024. Home care will continue in its current facilities, psychosocial services and mental health teams will move to Hvannavellir 14. Work is underway to find accommodation for the part of the management located in Akureyri.

Minister of Health Willum Þór Þórsson has decided to entrust the Akureyri Hospital in collaboration with the Health Care Institution of North Iceland with the establishment of a knowledge and consultation centre on ME disease. Today is the International ME Day which is aimed at raising awareness of the disease that causes long-term muscle pain and inflammation in the brain or spinal cord.
On May 12th, the International Nurses' Day and May 5th, the International Midwives Day, we celebrate their achievements and work around the world.
