Dagbjört S. Bjarnadóttir Honored at the Annual Meeting of the Icelandic Nurses’ Association

On May 15th, the annual meeting of the Icelandic Nurses’ Association was held at Hilton Reykjavík Nordica. Dagbjört S. Bjarnadóttir was honored at the event, receiving an encouragement grant along with four other nurses for their contributions to the profession.
“Dagbjört has served as a nurse in the Mývatn region for decades. She has a strong interest in community health and was involved in implementing a health-promoting community initiative in Mývatnssveit. Dagbjört is an outstanding nurse and a clinical instructor for other nurses and nursing students.”
Dagbjört has participated in various improvement projects, including smoking cessation counseling and the quit-smoking helpline. She was also a key figure in establishing the Akureyri Clinic, a diagnostic and counseling center for individuals with ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) or long-term symptoms of COVID-19.
