HSN in a nutshell
The Healthcare Institution of North Iceland (HSN) serves a vast region stretching from Blönduós to Þórshöfn. The main service locations are in Akureyri, Blönduós, Dalvík and Fjallabyggð, Húsavík, and Sauðárkrókur. In total, HSN operates 17 service locations.
HSN provides a wide range of healthcare services, including primary healthcare, psychosocial services and mental health teams, hospital services, and elderly care through nursing and residential units. Around 720 employees work together to fulfill HSN’s important societal role.
