About the clinical research center
The National University Hospital of Iceland and the University of Iceland established a clinical research center (KRS) with the aim of supporting the infrastructure and enhancing their collaboration in clinical research.
The KRS is a contact point for international research projects and coordinates them with other research sites.
The National University Hospital of Iceland and the National University Hospital of Iceland provide assistance and advice on
contracts in scientific research
finance (management of research funds and grants)
applications to public bodies
statistical processing in scientific research
research data such as informed consent
writing of a research plan
organisation and setting up of research centres
preparation and conduct of studies
preparation and processing of audits and inspections (audits, inspections)
the inclusion of studies in an open database, such as
use of REDCap in data collection in research
KRS also trains staff in Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
