Directorate of Equality

The Directorate of Equality works to promote equality in Icelandic society. The Office provides advice, education, and information. It also monitors the state of gender equality and encourages positive change. The Gender Equality Office oversees compliance with gender equality legislation, supports prevention efforts against discrimination and violence, and works to ensure equal opportunities in society and in the labour market.
