Does a vehicle need to be inspected when the taxi is converted to public use?
Yes, the car needs to be brought to inspection station for a change inspection, the equipment belonging to the taxi must be removed. A taxi is also required to have a valid main inspection carried out earlier in the year in order to permit changing it to public use. Further information is available here.
