The Icelandic Transport Authority is authorized to grant an exemption from a course or individual parts of it that relate to operations, accounting or tax returns. An exemption shall only be granted if the applicant or, as the case may be, his representative possesses adequate knowledge and can demonstrate that he has previously completed a degree in the relevant field or that he has acquired comparable knowledge in his work for at least three years.
