Why is it that the fire compensation assessment is based on the assessment in November 2023 when the damages are being paid out at the beginning of 2024?
According to law, the fire compensation assessment shall be based on the one in force at the time of the damage. Changes in the fire compensation assessment after damage has occurred do not affect compensation payments.
