How much money is in the NTÍ fund? Has it been allocated to anything other than natural disasters?

The law no. 55/1992 applies to the fund. It states that it is the board of NTÍ that is responsible for the custody of the premiums that are paid annually to the fund. No funds have been spent from this compensation fund for anything other than compensation and the operation of the fund.

The fund is worth just over ISK 57 million and only allows for compensation for natural disasters.
