Where do I see my notification and other communications with Icelandic Natural Disaster Insurance - NTI?

What is insured?

My house was not damaged during the earthquake on November 10th but it is in the siding valley that was formed during the eruption. Do I get compensation for that?

How much money is in the NTÍ fund? Has it been allocated to anything other than natural disasters?

When do I receive damages for damages to my partially damaged property?

Why is it that the fire compensation assessment is based on the assessment in November 2023 when the damages are being paid out at the beginning of 2024?

What about other items I have built on the grounds of my house, e.g. a platform and a hot pot, will I get compensated for that?

What about fixed-rate mortgages on buildings such as interiors, parquet floors, doors and the like. Can't I take it with me since my house is assessed as ruined?

Can residents themselves demolish and dispose of their properties and receive direct payment for disposal costs?

Should owners of buildings in Grindavík have to move their apartments out of the area if the civil protection authorities open up the possibility or should they decide to do so themselves?

The town of Grindavík has not formed the pipeline completely to the home, since that part is owned by the homeowner. Who bears the cost of having pipes formed between the base of the building and a well in the street?
