When can you expect the victims to receive the results of the damage assessment?

As of January 14 there have been no grounds for entering Grindavík to continue with damage assessment. Therefore, the focus has been on settlement of damaged houses and NTÍ staff have been in communication with their owners regarding payments that can be made, despite the uncertainty that still exists with the disposal/finishing of the houses.

Changes were made to the fissures in the earthquake-induced fissures and information indicates that damage has changed to many of the properties that the assessors had already examined.

Information is requested from the government on actions that will be offered to Grindvíkingar, but they can affect the handling of cases that cannot be concluded due to the uncertainty that exists.

In the light of what has been said, it is not possible to publish certain dates for the presentation of the outcome of the damage assessment.
