Grants and opportunities

Grants to facilitate the writing of non-fiction work, reference books, dictionaries and extensive information material in Icelandic in various forms.

Nordplus Junior: Grants for preschools, primary schools and upper secondary schools for cooperation projects, development projects, pupil visits and teacher exchanges.

Nordplus for Higher Education: Networks of higher education institutions and their projects, e.g. student and staff exchanges.

Nordplus Horizontal: Grants for collaborative projects and networks between education institutions at levels. Partners from at least three Nordic or Baltic countries required

Nordplus Adult: Grants for cooperation networks and development projects in adult education

Nordplus Nordic Languages: Grants for projects that strengthen understanding of Nordic languages and promote Nordic and Nordic minority languages in Nordic and Baltic countries.

Grants are awarded to education providers for teaching Icelandic to foreigners with the objective of giving them the opportunity to acquire necessary skills in Icelandic.

The UK-Iceland Explorer Fund provides scholarships for Icelandic graduate students for a full-degree studies in the UK at master or doctoral level.
