Information Centre for Studies Abroad

The FaraBara.is is currently only in Icelandic!

• On the Farabara.is website, you can search for information about the structure of studies in different countries, for example regarding the education system, the academic year, the application process and more.

• The website provides good advice on the process of applying to study abroad.

• You can read advice on what to keep in mind when applying to study abroad, where it is best to start and what points are good to include in an application.

• Farabara.is also publishes testimonials from Icelandic students who have undertaken university studies abroad. The testimonials can be filtered by country.

• The website contains a list of scholarships in different countries that the information centre has compiled. Please note that the list is not exhaustive and the scholarships are not administered by Rannís.

• The staff at the information centre for studying abroad answer enquiries by email, and meetings can be booked if you would like personal advice.

  • The staff do not assist with completing applications but provide general advice that can be useful in the application process.

• All services are free of charge.
