Grants are awarded to education providers for teaching Icelandic to foreigners with the objective of giving them the opportunity to acquire necessary skills in Icelandic.

The objective of the Library Fund is to strengthen Libraries’ activities through development projects in the field of libraries and information science, and cooperation projects.

Support of publication of books in Icelandic by providing temporary financial aid to publishers in the form of partial reimbursement of costs incurred in the publication.

The UK-Iceland Explorer Fund provides scholarships for Icelandic graduate students for a full-degree studies in the UK at master or doctoral level.

For research groups with wide-ranging projects likely to lead Icelandic research to the top level internationally.

The objective of the Youth Fund is to support innovative projects aimed at, and for, young people and to help youth organisations to improve and expand their activities.
