The Library fund supports defined research and development projects in the field of libraries and information subjects. The fund can also support projects that empower co-operation among libraries in the country and abroad.
Who can apply?
All libraries defined by the Library law and rules of the fund. They can apply alone or with other stakeholders, their goal being to empower their work.
How to apply
Applications must be submitted electronically through the Rannís application system.
To access the application form, applicants must log in to the Rannís application system using electronic ID.
Instructions on how to log in and how to create a new application (if applications are open) are provided.
It is important to note that when preparing the budget, the form refers to the total cost of the project. If funding or contributions are being sought from other sources, this must be specified in the application. It is important to carefully review the budget overview before submitting the application. The minimum grant amount for projects is ISK 250,000.
