Applications are open once a year. The application deadline is at the beginning of each year (late January or early February).

Sprotasjóður: The Icelandic innovation fund for schools is a joint fund for nursery, primary and secondary schools and supports development and innovation in school activities in accordance with government policy (education policy until 2030) and the national curriculum.

Who can apply?

Nursery, primary and secondary schools. Parties other than schools can apply in collaboration with a school. In such cases, confirmation of the school's participation must be included with the application.

How to apply

To access the application form, you must log in to the Rannís application system using your electronic ID. It is not necessary for the applicant to be a registered user in the application system (e.g. a school or municipality), but it is preferable if possible. An individual can be a registered user in the application system but specify another applicant in the application (e.g. a school or municipality).

Application can be in Icelandic or English.
