Salary Grant for Independent Scholars

The fund opens for applications once a year. The application period begins at least 4 weeks before the deadline for submissions.

Grant to facilitate the writing of non-fiction work, reference books, dictionaries and extensive information material in Icelandic in various forms.

Those receiving the salary grant may not engage in other regular employment during the time period of the grant. The grant is in the form of contractor payments for a period from 3 to 12 months.
