Yes, payment participation is 90% but up to a maximum of 6,500 ISK for a package (50 pieces) of blood test strips. The approved amount of blood test strips and lancets depends on whether you have diabetes type 1, diabetes type 2 or gestational diabetes. Also if you use a blood glucose monitoring for diabetes (applies to type 1), which medications you take for diabetes (applies to type 2) and measured blood sugar or HbA1c (applies to type 2).
