Sabbatical Fund for Teachers and Administrators at Upper Secondary Level

Grants may be awarded to those who have been granted study leave, from funds allocated for study leave in the annual budget. The grants are intended to cover specific costs associated with applying for and undertaking the studies, such as travel, tuition fees, accommodation costs and more. The Ministry of Education and Children's Affairs will inform those on leave about grant opportunities.

If permission is granted to use study leave for distance learning at a recognised educational institution or for training, e.g. due to technological developments, without leave from work or a reduction in working hours, a grant may be awarded for such studies to cover out-of-pocket expenses, such as tuition fees and specific travel costs.
