Confirmation of a processing agreement

The municipal or local council is responsible for confirming that a processing agreement exists between the owner of a fishing vessel and a fish processing plant.

Such an endorsement confirms that:

• the owner of the fishing vessel has made a written agreement with a fish processing plant

• the agreement covers a specified quantity of catch

• the catch will be landed for processing at the relevant processing plant

• the processing will take place within the relevant community
