Payment distributions
If you receive payments from the Social Insurance Administration, the debt will automatically be distributed over 12 months. You will receive less each month until you have paid back the full amount. You can also request to pay the debt back over a longer period of time, the video below explains how to do that.
The maximum amount is 20% of the payments you receive.
The minimum monthly deduction is 3.000 ISK.
If the amount is higher than 20% of your allowance, we will send you payment slips unless you request a deduction higher than 20%.
