If an undertaking does not intend to provide services in Iceland and post workers to Iceland for more than 10 working days in total in any twelve-month period, it is not required to notify AOSH of its operations.

The 10 working days do not need to be consecutive, and it does not matter how often the undertaking posts workers to Iceland or how many workers are posted.

If, however, the provision of services lasts for more than 10 working days, the undertaking must provide AOSH with the required information and/or access to documentation no later than the eleventh working day of its operations.

If the services provided by an undertaking involve the specialised assembly, installation, inspection or repair of equipment and are not intended to last for more than four weeks in any twelve-month period, the undertaking is exempt from the obligation to notify AOSH of its operations.

The four weeks do not need to be consecutive, and it does not matter how often the undertaking posts workers to Iceland or how many workers are posted.

If, however, the provision of services lasts for more than four weeks, the undertaking must provide AOSH with the required information and/or access to documentation no later than the first working day after the services have been provided for four weeks in any twelve-month period.

Please note that the installation of fixtures and prefabricated building units, including windows, piping and structural components, is not considered to constitute the installation of equipment for the purposes of this exemption.
