The Department of Psychiatry provides around-the-clock care. Critically ill patients with psychotic symptoms and a risk of suicide are prioritized. Most inpatient admissions are from emergency departments that come through the hospital, others are from waiting lists according to referrals received from healthcare professionals.
In the clinic, daycare is offered to certain patients, after admission to daycare, if follow-up is needed until the appropriate resources are in place.
The department consists of an emergency department, which has 10 acute care facilities and a day and ambulatory department. The emergency department is located in the main building on the ground floor.
